Display settings for Mac: resolution, rotation, and arrangement

· Catsights Team

Plugging in a Catsights display is plug-and-play, but a few minutes in System Settings makes it feel like it belongs. Here's the short tour.

Set the native resolution

Open System Settings → Displays, pick the Catsights display, and set the resolution to Default for display. That's 2560 × 1600, and it's where the panel looks sharpest.

Arrange your displays

Click Arrange and drag the display icons until they match your desk setup — put the Catsights display where it physically is, whether that's to the left, right, or above. Then moving your cursor across screens feels natural.

Rotate for vertical mode

Want to read documents or code vertically? Rotate the display 90° and it follows automatically. Great for long articles, PDFs, or portrait design work.

Set the color profile

The display ships with a factory-calibrated color profile covering 98% DCI-P3. In Displays → Color Profile, you can keep it as is, or pick another profile if you have one you prefer.

A couple of small tweaks and it'll feel like it was made for your Mac.
