Two models, one question: which one's for you? Here's some good news up front — the hard part is already decided. The One and the One S are the same display with the same hub and the same one-cable connection. What differs is what's in the box, and that makes the choice pretty straightforward.
What's the same
Both models give you the full core experience:
- The same panel — 13.3-inch, 2560×1600 2.5K IPS, 16:10, 227 PPI. 350 nits, 100% sRGB, 1500:1 contrast, 60Hz.
- The same hub — the detachable magnetic module with two USB-C and three USB-A ports.
- The same connection — one USB-C cable carries video, power, and touch. No dock, no extra power brick.
If you're choosing between them, you're not giving anything up on screen quality, ports, or connectivity.
What's in the box
- Catsights One ships with the display, the hub, the USB-C cable, the USI active pen, and a protective sleeve.
- Catsights One S keeps it to the essentials: the display, the hub, and the USB-C cable. The pen, sleeve, and stand are sold separately.
How to decide
- You draw, annotate, or take handwritten notes → go with the One. The USI pen is right in the box, with 4096 levels of pressure on both Mac and Windows.
- You travel with the display and want it protected from day one → go with the One. The sleeve is included, so you don't have to think about buying one separately.
- You mainly want a second screen for documents, code, and spreadsheets, and you'd rather pick your own accessories → the One S is the smarter buy. You're not paying for things you won't use.
- Still not sure → go with the One. The pen and sleeve are things most people end up wanting anyway, so you might as well get them in the box.
A note about the pen
The USI active pen works on both Mac and Windows, with the full 4096 levels of pressure in apps like Photoshop and CLIP STUDIO PAINT. On Mac, you'll need the Catsights app installed for touch (and the pen) to work — it's a quick one-time setup. On Windows, it's plug-and-play.
Whichever you pick, you're getting the same screen. The question is just how you like your accessories served.
